An hour from Buenos Aires, the city gives way to a maze of rivers and streams where people live on the water. You'll explore it aboard a private boat reserved for your group alone, with a local guide who has known the delta all their life. Drifting past stilt houses, wooden piers and dense island greenery, you'll see why porteños have escaped here for generations.
The five-hour outing includes the train from Retiro with your guide, the boat with captain and guide, a stop at an island general store to glimpse everyday delta life, and an onboard merienda of local specialties. The pace is unhurried throughout. A natural fit for couples, families or groups of friends who want a river day without the crowds.
